This week’s #FridayFind is an elusive date of death.
Did you know that baptismal records can sometimes include the individual’s death date?
Sometimes, being the keyword. These notations depend on a variety of factors, so when the individual in question has emigrated, the likelihood of one existing is lower. But not impossible! We found one such notation on the baptismal record of a John Meyer (as seen above) that reads “obiit 1878 Juni 18.”
