This week’s #FridayFind is a curious case of the census!
There are numerous reasons you might not find someone in the census records. Perhaps they moved between census years, passed away, …or their name was misspelled? In the example above, the surname “Rigsby” was misspelled by the census enumerator as “Rorbgon.” You can even see a comment in the center about not being able to find these names elsewhere.
