This week’s #FridayFind is…a castle?

Now, genealogy isn’t all family secrets and discovering that you’re 10 times removed from being nobility… but sometimes, just sometimes, combing through old baptismal records really pays off!

Take the family Roche for example. After tracing the line back to 17th century Cork County, Ireland, we discovered baptismal records for a small village known as none other than Castletownroche! Blackwater Castle (the castle of Castletownroche) still stands today. Neat right?
